The Faculty of Agriculture at Rajarata University of Sri Lanka (RUSL) launched its first postgraduate program, the Master of Agriculture, in 2020. Since then, our postgraduate offerings have grown significantly, now encompassing a diverse range of programs designed to meet the evolving needs of the agricultural sector. Currently, we offer five specialized postgraduate programs: the Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Development, Master of Agriculture, Master of Science in Agroecology, Master of Philosophy in Agriculture, and Doctor of Philosophy in Agriculture. Each program provides a rigorous academic and research experience, preparing students to become leaders in their respective fields.

We are also excited to announce the upcoming launch of two new master’s programs: the Master of Science in Food and Postharvest Technology, and the Master of Science in Agrotechnology and Environmental Management. These programs have been specifically developed to address the critical challenges of sustainable agriculture and to equip students with the skills needed to drive innovation and technological advancement in the industry.
